1. Who we are

This website (sleep-show.com), the Sleep Doctors Show, and The Snooze newsletter are operated by ITBN Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14155744), registered office: Palmeira Avenue Mansions, 19 Church Road, Hove, East Sussex, BN3 2FA. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to ITBN Ltd. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data.

2. What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal data we collect through our website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. It applies to sleep-show.com and its related pages, including our newsletter landing page (newsletter.sleep-show.com) and our sign-up confirmation page (success.sleep-show.com), and to both the Sleep Doctors Show and The Snooze newsletter. It does not cover third-party platforms where you watch or listen to the show, or other sites we link to (such as YouTube or Spotify), which have their own privacy policies.

3. The personal data we collect

  • Newsletter sign-up: when you subscribe (on sleep-show.com or our newsletter landing page), we collect your email address (and any other details you enter in the sign-up form).
  • Contact form: if you message us through the contact form, we collect your name, company name (optional), email address, and the content of your message. Before we use these details to reply, you confirm your consent by ticking the box on the form.
  • Technical and usage data: as with most websites, limited technical information (such as cookie identifiers, and how you interact with our pages) may be collected automatically (see "Cookies" below).

We do not intentionally collect special category (sensitive) personal data, and we ask that you do not send us health information about yourself or anyone else through the site.

4. How we use your data, and our legal basis

  • To send you our weekly newsletter and related updates. Legal basis: your consent, given when you subscribe. You can withdraw consent at any time (see "Your rights").
  • To respond to messages you send us. Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the consent box on the contact form, and taking steps at your request.
  • To measure and improve our advertising. On our newsletter landing and sign-up confirmation pages we use the Meta Pixel to see how our ads perform and which visits lead to a sign-up. Legal basis: your consent.
  • To operate, secure and improve the website. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in running the site properly.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Our pages use a small number of cookies:

  • Essential/hosting cookies set by our website platform (Carrd) so the site functions correctly.
  • A referral cookie (named __sl-fingerprint) set by SparkLoop, which we use to understand how people discover and are referred to our newsletter.
  • Advertising and measurement cookies from the Meta Pixel (including a cookie named _fbp). We use the Meta Pixel on our newsletter landing page (newsletter.sleep-show.com) and our sign-up confirmation page (success.sleep-show.com) to measure how our Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ads perform, to see which visits lead to a sign-up, and to reach similar audiences. The Meta Pixel may set cookies and share information about your visit (such as the pages you view and your device and browser details) with Meta.

We do not use Google Analytics. We use the advertising and measurement cookies only on the pages named above, and only with your consent. You can withdraw consent or manage cookies at any time through your browser settings, and you can manage ad personalisation in your Meta account settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect how the site works.

6. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf:

  • Kit (formerly ConvertKit): our email newsletter platform, which stores subscriber details and delivers our emails.
  • SparkLoop: our newsletter referral/recommendation service.
  • Carrd: our website host and the provider of our contact form.
  • Meta Platforms (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, and Meta Platforms, Inc.): provides the Meta Pixel we use on our newsletter landing and confirmation pages for advertising measurement and audience tools.

Each of these providers acts under our instructions or their own terms, as applicable.

7. International transfers

Kit, SparkLoop, Carrd and Meta are based in, or transfer data to, the United States, so your data may be transferred to and stored outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement/Addendum, Standard Contractual Clauses, or a relevant adequacy decision) to protect your data.

8. How long we keep your data

  • Newsletter: we keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we remove or suppress your details.
  • Contact enquiries: we keep messages for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards.

9. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct it; ask us to delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; request a copy in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
